FIFA Agent Exam: Format, Subjects and How to Prepare

October 14, 2026 · Exam guide · 2 min read

If you want to work as a football agent, the FIFA Agent Exam is the first hurdle. It is a short test, but it covers a lot of regulations, and it is easy to underestimate. This guide explains how the exam is built and how to organize your preparation.

Exam format

The exam consists of 20 multiple-choice questions, with 60 minutes to answer. The minimum passing score is 75%, which means at least 15 correct answers out of 20.

With only 20 questions, every subject can appear, and a single weak area can cost you the pass. The questions are based on the regulations themselves, so you need to know the rules precisely, not just the general ideas.

The 8 subjects

The exam covers eight FIFA texts:

  1. FIFA Statutes — how FIFA is organized and governed.
  2. Disciplinary Code — sanctions, procedures and the bodies that apply them.
  3. Code of Ethics — conflicts of interest, integrity and the rules of conduct.
  4. RSTP — the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players.
  5. Football Tribunal Rules — how disputes are brought before FIFA's decision-making bodies.
  6. Agent Regulations — the rules that apply to football agents themselves.
  7. Clearing House — the system used to handle payments linked to transfers.
  8. FIFA Guardian — the protection of minors and safeguarding.

Exam languages

The FIFA exam is offered in French, English or Spanish. Choose the language in which you are most comfortable reading legal texts, because the wording of each question matters.

How to prepare

  1. Study subject by subject. Work through one regulation at a time and write down the figures, deadlines and conditions: these are what questions are built on.
  2. Practice with questions in the exam format. Answering multiple-choice questions, and reading the correction for each one, is the fastest way to find what you have not really understood.
  3. Train under real conditions. Take full mock exams of 20 questions in 60 minutes. Timing is part of the difficulty.
  4. Review your weak subjects. After each mock exam, look at your score by subject and go back to the lowest one before taking the next test.
  5. Ask someone who has done it. A short conversation with an agent who has passed the exam can save you days of guesswork.
